# Apps and tools

**Tools** are the parts of your workspace: invoices, documents, signatures, forms, bookings, contacts, approvals, automations, files and more. See [tools](/tools/).

**Apps** are bigger jobs, each in its own app: websites, video, books, business plans and more. They share one login, one memory and your permissions. See [apps](/apps/).

Behind the door the helper (and any AI you connect) gets one tool per app. Each takes a `tool` (the part) and an `action` (the verb). You never type these.

Some apps are in early access, and a few use providers that are still previews. Each app's page says so.
